Fourmile Canyon Fire: Ways to Help

There are plenty of ways to lend a hand to Fourmile Canyon fire victims, as well as others in need. Dial 211 to access the United Way Help Center to learn about donating, volunteering or pet shelters.

Many organizations that provided fire assistance are looking to replace diminished resources. The following is a list of resources for donors.

Collection Center, 3111 28th St., open 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Accepting water, sports drinks, laundry and cleaning supplies, household paper products, trash cans and bags, coolers, buckets, pet food, feminine-hygiene products, new sheets and towels, work gloves, boots, dust masks, shovels, rakes, sunscreen, lip balm, and gift cards from local restaurants and department and consumer-product stores.

The best way to help is through monetary donations and getting trained to be a volunteer.

The Community Foundation Serving Boulder
Accepting checks made out to the Boulder Mountain Fire Relief Fund. Mail them to The Community Foundation, 1123 Spruce St., Boulder, CO 80302. Also accepting monetary donations at the office location.
