September 27, 2007. Boulder’s very own, Wendy the Weaver, has been chosen to participate in OPEN STUDIOS, the yearly Boulder studio arts event where the public has a rare opportunity to experience what actually goes on in an artist's studio. Wendy will be sharing her studio filled with looms for hand weaving, trays of felting and beading projects, as well as other fiber arts. Her entire home will be transformed into a gallery displaying her Woven Art for sale. This is an excellent time to purchase gifts for the holiday season, for any other occasion--or to treat yourself to something special for yourself or for your home. There will be a room for children to have a hands-on fiber arts experience. Visitors have the opportunity to walk Wendy's outdoor Labyrinth at their own pace. Deemer Wins Landscape Awards
Scott Deemer of Outdoor Craftsmen in Longmont won grand awards from the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado (ALCC) in two categories: Use of Color–Annuals and Landscape Construction. The Use of Color–Annuals award was for Deemer’s design of 40 container gardens. The Landscape Construction award recognized a residential water feature with xeric plants, trees, shrubs and stonework.

Kelaidis Receives Hall of Fame Award
The Colorado Nursery and Greenhouse Association (CNGA) has honored Panayoti Kelaidis, director of Denver Botanic Gardens Outreach and a regular contributor to Boulder County Home & Garden Magazine, with the Hall of Fame/Honorary Life Member award.
The CNGA awards board unanimously selected Kelaidis for his many contributions to the horticulture industry, and for displaying professionalism and enthusiasm for the Colorado green industry.
Kelaidis has worked at Denver Botanic Gardens for 25 years and performs a variety of functions, including overseeing the Plant Select program, designing gardens and acting as a liaison to numerous botanical and horticultural organizations.
Knudson Gloss Receives Best Whole House Remodel Award
Remodeling a 1970s-era tract house into a cottage-style Craftsman earned Knudson Gloss Architects Planners the Best Whole House Remodel award from the Remodelers Council of Metro Denver at the 2004 Colorado Award for Remodeling Excellence (C.A.R.E.) awards.
The Boulder County remodel also took top honors in the Best Kitchen Remodel (over $100,000) and Best Landscape categories.
VaST Earns Green Advantage Environmental Certification
