Size: 2150 S.F. excluding detached garage and studio, including 4 bedrooms 3 baths
Builder: Harrington Homes
The original house was a one-story 1890's stone “cabin.” A second story was added and a new entry orientation was created on the south of the property.
Special care was taken to preserve the natural surroundings and minimize the impact of remodeling on the historic character of the existing structure and sensitive site, which abuts open space. Dramatic views to the north overlook city lights, and to the south open to the privacy of open space. This allows for an expansive sense of space for a small sized home. Environmental consciousness is demonstrated with site sensitive design, minimal excavation, and with energy conserving features throughout. The indoor/outdoor living spaces and outdoor rooms embrace the special qualities of the site, the owner's lifestyle and values.
