Red Barn Farm Harvest Market and Barn Sale
Visit the 11th annual Harvest Market and Barn Sale for one-of-a-kind
treasures like vintage furniture, collectibles, quilts, autumn home and garden décor, jewelry, and handicrafts by local artisans. It’s all displayed in the historic clay-tile barn and surrounding old-fashioned gardens at 1341 95th St. in Lafayette (on the west side of 95th Street south of Arapahoe Road and north of Baseline Road). Corn Maze
This year’s corn maze design is an 8-acre tribute to Native American artist Allan Houser, whose work is on display at Denver Botanic Gardens through Nov. 13. View the entire maze from two 15-foot illuminated bridges at the Gardens’ Chatfield location, 8500 W. Deer Creek Canyon Road in Littleton. 2011 Bonfils-Stanton Lecture and Cooking Class
“Talk to Me: The Connected Garden” celebrates the diverse array of bloggers who share their food and garden wisdom online. The lecture is Thursday at 7 p.m. in Mitchell Hall at Denver Botanic Gardens, 1007 York St. A separate garden tour at 5 p.m. precedes athe lecture. On Friday, a cooking class from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. features recipes from Indian, Chinese and Vietnamese cuisines. Zoo Lights
Experience a holiday light safari with nearly 40 acres of brilliant lights, including more than 150 animated animal sculptures that swing through trees and leap across lawns.
